We will be honoring the life of our longtime director, Rick Mills, by attending his funeral services on July 27th in Lacroix Hall at the monument. We encourage those who knew Rick to come and show support to Rick's family and close friends.

About the event
This is a funeral service for Rick Wayne Mills who passed away on April 20th, 2025. Rick was the longtime curator and director of the South Dakota State Railroad Museum, author of several railroad books, an active citizen in his hometown of Hermosa, South Dakota, a champion for the arts and humanities in his beloved state of South Dakota, a fantastic and loving uncle, son, and brother to his family, and a great friend to many. If you knew Rick and wish to show your support to Rick's family, please consider attending this event.
